O scale model trains mean different things to different people. Probably moreso than N, HO or OO scales, where most product is ready-to-run and the major differential as to finescale or not, is in the track (rail) profile.
O scale trains have many different categories and our area of interest is British outline, coarse-scale models. The coarse scale area in British outline O gauge is still dominated by 3-rail, DC-powered, tinplate models although some manufacturers have seen an opportunity to create 2-rail or 2/3-rail switchable models and the use of pewter, brass and various metals or alloys.
Coarse scale is also becoming a bit of a misnomer in that recent releases tend to be very decent representations of the prototype making the previous distinction between coarse and finescale, a little blurry.
So, with that in mind, we offer O-scale trains from the following manufacturers, together with occasional vintage/antique collectible offerings from decades past. If there are Hornby, Bassett-Lowke or Bing models from the past that you are looking to acquire, let us know and we will endeavour to find these for you.
