Ashover Bogie Coach (Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway Blue & Cream) - Pre Order

Ashover Coach
The Ashover Light Railway ordered four coaches of this design from the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company in 1924 for the operation of passenger services on its line in Derbyshire. They were built on recycled bogies from First World War wagons. They operated at Ashover until passenger services ceased in 1936. Two coaches later found further use with the Lincolnshire Coast Light railway then based in Cleethorpes. These coaches can still be seen today operating at the LCLR line which is now located in Skegness. A third coach that also survived is located at the Golden Valley Light Railway in Derbyshire

Details: Ashover Bogie Coach in Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway Blue & Cream livery. As used by the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway from the 1960s to present day at both Cleethorpes (until 1985) and Skegness (since 2009).
