Oxford - Land Rover Series II Fire Appliance - Red - Sold Out

The Series II Land Rover was introduced in 1958 and was manufactured until 1961, when it was replaced by the IIA. Whereas the Series I had flat sides, the Series II can immediately be identified with the rounded side panels, which allowed for the wider track of the vehicle. Coming in Short and Long Wheelbases with numerous body combinations including fixed roofs, canvas roofs, open tops, station wagons etc.
With a fire appliance body there is a hose wrapped round the bonnet along with the spare wheel, green canvas covered boxes on the sides at the back, a hose reel in the rear flatbed section and the silvered pumps across the back. Registered DMK 109A, the model also features the characteristic Land Rover radiator grille with the Land Rover marque an integral part of it. The bodywork is bright red with chassis, external trim and interior moulding all in black.
